In 3 actions over two days this past September, the FTC signaled its plan when it comes to non-compete agreements.
First, it dropped its appeals defending its near-total ban on non-competes. Then the FTC reached a settlement with a company that imposed overbroad non-compete agreements on all employees. Next, the FTC issued a request for information on employers with broad non-compete agreements.
Hiring is changing, Clean Slate laws are expanding, and FCRA requirements still apply.
