Another starvation case..... Animal abuse cases have risen by a high number in the last 6 months.

Paws 4 the Cause has taken in a dozen abuse cases in the last 6 months. Kentucky needs to do better by making laws tougher to fight for these animals.

Meet Mir. She is our latest case and has many rescuers crying out for tougher laws. Hernstory is one of many lately, but Mira eyes tell a story of despair and just trying to hold on one more day for help to find her.

Mira was surrendered by someone but the story did not add up. So animal control was called in the investigate. She was a body score of 1 being the worst and her body smell of urine and her feet mellowed and had urine burns from standing and laying in a urine soaked area for a long time.
We can not talk about the case because it is on going. But because of the new laws here in Lexington she been released to us.

We stand behind them in any way we can to push to have the animals’ voices heard loud and clear. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!

As of now, Mira is safe in our care to slowly gain weight and become healthy. She had many baths to get rid of the smell of urine. We will do everything we can to help her heal and forget her horrible past. We will also make sure she finds the perfect forever family to spoil him and treat him as family.
