FYI: COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT
07/30/2025
It takes a lot to put on an event that services so many people. Lots of meetings, sometimes disagreements, but it is always done with the children in mind.
Meeting with community partners, sending emails, dropping by businesses to solicit donations, being turned down, but going back again, again, and again to ensure a successful day for everyone.
Stuffing bags, cooking food, packing up u- hauls, trailers, meeting vendors, printing tags, and etc. You name it, we do it, but we could not do it without the help of those that volunteered.
Morgan from WKHS, Coach Oz's football players from Gilbert HS, Scott Davis and players from Lexington High School, Colonial Life volunteers, Wal-mart store 881 volunteers, Felicia Turner, Zoey Turner, Debbie Gantt, Teresa Byrd, Ann Byrd, Rossilyn Hiller, and many others who jumped in to assist where we needed them. It did not go unnoticed.
We will be reaching out to all of you again in the future and if you didn't get a chance to join us, never fear, next year will be here soon enough.
I do not own the rights to this music.
It was hot, but the line dancers were hotter!
