Transition Tip Tuesday: How to Figure Out How You Learn Best

Tip #2: Find Your Comfort Zone

Completing useful and necessary tasks on a daily basis helps you get more comfortable doing them. For example:
▪ Schedule an appointment by making a phone call.
▪ Order a meal at a restaurant.
▪ Travel by using the bus or train.

Join CTI for a monthly recycled art class and upcycle something ordinary and old into something new and beautiful! This month, we will create scrapbooks with pictures you provide or from your time at CTI events. Small scrapbook journals, magazines, scrap paper and stickers will be provided. Not into scrapbooking pictures? Make a collage to express your dreams, hopes and goals.

Did you know that meditation and mindfulness practice can lower stress levels, improve concentration and help you feel more relaxed in just one or two minutes? Learn simple, research-proven mindfulness techniques to help with everyday stress. We will practice light movement, breath work and meditation. No previous experience necessary, just bring an open mind.

Have you ever done an escape room? What about an escape room box? An escape room box is a set of puzzles (visual, auditory and maybe even video clips) that you solve to “escape the room” or solve the puzzle box. If you like puzzles, working with others and problem solving, this is the event for you!

Join us for Accessible Martial Arts with Easterseals of Massachusetts. This class will be different than the last 2 sessions, with the Easterseals instructor coming to CTI in person to teach the martial arts lesson! CTI staff will also be there to assist with any moves that participants might find challenging. The purpose of this class is to learn and practice self-defense, stretching, exercise and learn relaxation techniques.
