It’s Day 10 of ! Today we’re doing a little "spring cleaning" by clearing out some common misconceptions about our profession. 🧹✨

Many people think we’re just on the sidelines with water and tape, but the truth is our care starts long before the whistle blows and continues well after the final buzzer. From emergency care and injury prevention to managing mental health and navigating complex rehab, ATs provide Care You Can Count On in every setting.

What an awesome weekend at our youth camp Saturday morning! The kids learned some baseball, competed, and had fun! Thanks to all who had a part in making it a success!

It’s National Athletic Training Month! 🟦 This week, we are exploring the five domains of our profession to showcase the Care You Can Count On provided by Athletic Trainers every day.

Next up is Domain II: Assessment, Evaluation and Diagnosis.

When an injury occurs, every second counts. ATs are trained to provide rapid, accurate clinical evaluations to determine the next steps for care. Domain II involves:

Clinical Evaluation: Using advanced physical examination techniques to assess musculoskeletal injuries and medical conditions.

Accurate Diagnosis: Determining the nature and severity of an injury to create an immediate plan of action.

Patient-Centered Care: Ensuring the patient understands their injury from the very first assessment.

Whether it’s an acute injury on the court or a chronic issue in the clinic, ATs provide care that is crafted with precision and guided by expertise.

AEDs are only effective if they are accessible, maintained, and part of a practiced emergency plan.

Placement, response time, and trained professionals on-site determine whether life-saving equipment can actually be used when seconds matter. This is why cardiac preparedness is a systems issue, not just a device issue.
