This exceptional luxury custom home was awarded a Silver Aurora Award, named a Top Three Finalist among more than 1,000 submissions for the South Florida Business Journal Structure Awards, and honored with both the 2025 PRISM Gold Award for One-of-a-Kind Custom Family Home and the 2025 PRISM Platinum Award for Best New Construction Single-Family Home Over 6,000 square feet.

Designed with an intentional organic modern vision, the interiors were curated to enhance the home’s architecture, connection to nature, and layered materials and finishes.

Feature staircases like this take a huge amount of planning.

In this video, Terry Paterson explains how structural steel, glass railings, stone, lighting, and custom metal work all come together to create a clean, modern staircase. The final result may look simple, but it requires careful coordination between many skilled trades.

We couldn’t find the coral stone our client wanted… so we knocked on a stranger’s door. After reviewing countless samples, we realized we recognized the reference home. That conversation led us to Mountainstone, the original source of this rare Florida coral—known for its natural texture, layered tones, and organic character.

Because of the way the stone forms, full blocks couldn’t be installed. Instead, we engineered custom substructures and hand-set 2"–5" pieces to recreate the look of solid coral while preserving its raw beauty.

Paired with natural landscaping, the coral blends seamlessly into the surrounding environment, allowing the architecture to feel rooted in its coastal setting.
