As this legislative session comes to a close, I’m proud to say we had a very successful 60 days. In total, we passed 12 bills focused on strengthening our communities and supporting Nebraska’s future.

Some of the highlights this session include legislation to help drive the construction of affordable housing—ensuring more families have access to safe and attainable places to live. We also advanced economic development by expanding tools like Tax Increment Financing (TIF) and Land Banks, giving communities across Nebraska the ability to grow, revitalize, and invest in themselves. Additionally, inspired by an idea from a resident of District 19, we created a new hand tag Game and Parks pass option to make it easier for Nebraskans to enjoy our great outdoors.

Thank you for your support this session. I look forward to continuing our work to support growth, opportunity, and quality of life across our state.

Thank you Senator Storer for this update on the fires in the western part of our state. We continue to pray for the safety of all the residents affected. Our gratitude for those who are battling these fires, and all those behind the scenes providing food, transportation, and a place to rest or sleep, cannot be expressed enough. Stay Safe. Stay Strong.
