Spiritual Dissonance

We use the term spiritual life to refer to something that is separate from life in general. When life itself is fundamentally spiritual. When we live out of balance we can become depressed, anxious, and angry as spirit tries to tug us back into proper alignment. First, it helps to know what proper alignment looks like for you. Second, once you know what you want it becomes possible to create practices to get the outcomes you desire. The Big Questions: What is most important to me?

Seems like an easy question on the surface doesn’t it. But what really is most important to us should be reflected in way we live our lives. However we all know that isn’t the case. Often we spend most of our time unaware of what is REALLY important to us and instead are bogged down by the demands of life. In between work, obligations, and our screens (tv, phone) we don’t get enough time to reflect on what is important and what it would mean to live in alignment with those values.
On the other side of that, another phenomenon that happens for many of us is that we get confused about what is really important to our truest selves and live out false ideals that never satisfy. The dissonance between our truest values and those we live out can cause us great pain and leave us confused. Getting clear about what is most important to you and what you want to prioritize is an important step in both the personal and spiritual journey. Having someone to talk to can help.
