ATTN RECORDING ARTISTS/BANDS: I know every artist wants that Great Big Flashy in the studio experience. Great big flashy studios normally have great big prices too, so you should ask yourself, what's really going to help your success? Sure the flashy studio makes for a good background in your "Studio Update" videos, and it may feel more like the "Big Times." Those videos can only help your record sales so much, and YOU had a great short run in the studio, but your fans didn't. Your fans care about getting a great sounding record from you, and at a good price. So now you don't want to pay too much for the release in order to maximize your success? This is where the flashy experience will cost you more, and take you further from the maximum success you could achieve with a smaller studio of equal quality (or better). Do your research of studios and the engineers that work at them to find out who/where will help maximize your success. The studio experience will only last so long, but the experience of a successful record can last much longer, and that is something you cannot buy. It's what's in the studio that matters, not it's size.
