Cub Scout Pack 74

Our scouts have been VERY busy this month...and it's only halfway through!

We're talking about all things Safety in October. This includes personal Safety, home safety, fire safety, playground safety, kitchen safety and First Aid!

To add to that, we're collecting socks and warm weather gear for our neighbors in Western NC :) serving our community and helping others is part of the oath we recite every week!

If you're a parent you are already planning what's for dinner tonight...

We had the honor to talk about 9/11 Monday night and the scouts learned about the brave men & women who showed up and made sooo many sacrifices to help save as many Americans as possible. We made some awesome treats for our local first responders in Remembrance of the brave individuals who were there and in honor of those who serve our community and would be just as brave, helpful, kind and loyal as those present on 9/11 and the days and weeks following.

Pack 74 Family Fishing!! We learned how to tie an angler knot, cast a reel, and the different types of fish in the pond and lake!

Cub Scouts across the Piedmont district were invited to participate in a bike rally today! We all learned so much, like how to make sure our helmets fit correctly, the ABC's of bike inspections and hand signals! These cub scouts are now equipped with knowledge and skills to ride their bikes safely 🦺⛑️
