LTC Dewey Collier is a strong supporter of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Texas’ key legislative priority: Defend the Guard. In the 2024 primary election, Texas Republicans voted overwhelmingly to support legislation that would prevent the Texas National Guard from being deployed in overseas conflicts without a declaration of war. Despite the fact that President Trump, the Secretary of War, over 84% of Texas Republican primary voters, his Republican colleagues, and many Texas veterans were all asking him to make Defend The Guard law, Texas HD 5 incumbent Rep Cole Hefner actually killed the bill. Unlike Mr. Hefner, LTC Dewey Collier is dedicated to defending the constitution, executing the will of Republicans, and making Defend The Guard law. It’s time for a change.
