Chisago Lakes Baseball

As many of you know by now, the CLHS Baseball squad had its season come to an end this week. We had stellar come from behind win against #3 Hermantown- down early 4-0 and then 5-1, the boys battled their tails off, scoring 3 runs in the 7th inning to win 7-5. We then turned around to play #2 Cloquet right after but we just didn’t quite have the juice and they ended our section run.

Every year I am proud of our Chisago Lakes baseball players, but this year I am especially proud. This group battled, worked hard, bought in, and gelled together in a way I haven’t seen for a while. This is in large part to the group of seniors that we were so blessed to have come through our program. Big thanks to Zander, Colton, Lake, Kellen, Cole, and Lucas for all the time you put in. Underclassmen, you have some big shoes to fill, but from what I’ve seen, you’re ready.

Thank you to all the fans, parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, and friends. We couldn’t do this thing without ya. As always:

The Cats are right back on the road today to take on #1 seed Grand Rapids. Fun Fact about Grand Rapids is that it is the birthplace of Judy Garland who was a singer and actress who portrayed the role of Dorothy Gale in the iconic Wizard of Oz flick.

Section 7AAA baseball starts today as the Cats travel north to take on #4 seed Hibbing. Fun facts about Hibbing (you get 2 today): it is known as the birthplace of Greyhound Busses, as well as the former home town of MLB slugger Roger Maris.

Last game of the regular season is tonight, folks! We play in C**n Rapids at 7:00pm at Wintercrest Park. Fun fact about C**n Rapids is that it is actually the 15th largest city in Minnesota.

This is the last week of the regular season for your Wildcats. Today we travel to Princeton looking for a W against the Tigers. A fun fact about Princeton was not available at the time of posting
