Celebrate May 1st the French way !
May 1st is the equivalent of the us Labor Day but we have a little tradition that goes with it. You can read bellow the history of it.

Joyeuses Pâques (happy Easter)
Did you know that in France we don’t have the Easter bunny but the cloches de Pâques (the Easter bells) Legend has it that on Good Friday, the bells of every church in France fly to Rome. In keeping with the tradition, French church bells do not ring from Good Friday to Easter Sunday morning when the bells are said to return.

The sound of the bells on Easter Sunday morning heralds the celebration of the Resurrection, declaring that Jesus is alive.

The Easter bells (les cloches de Pâques) are believed to bring with them Easter eggs, chocolates and other treats.
