Some days I sit and wonder how my three babies continue to wake up every morning carrying such heavy emotions at such a young age, yet still somehow find a reason to smile, laugh, hug me, and keep going. Watching your children suffer because their father is missing from home is a pain I would never wish on anyone. There are tears, questions I don’t always know how to answer, sleepless nights, and moments where the silence in this house feels unbearable. But if there is one thing this journey has shown me, it’s how incredibly strong my children are. They are hurting, yet they continue to love so deeply. They continue to pray. They continue to believe their dad is coming home. And because of them, I will never stop fighting. No matter how exhausting this process becomes, no matter how mentally, emotionally, or financially draining immigration detention has been on our family, I refuse to give up. My children deserve their father. They deserve peace, stability, laughter at the dinner table, bedtime hugs from both parents, and the chance to grow up without this fear hanging over them.Everything I do is for them. Every call, every court update, every tear, every prayer, every sleepless night — it is all for my babies and for the man they love so much.To my children: I hope one day you look back and realize your mom never stopped fighting for your family, not even on the hardest days. You three are the reason I keep standing when life tries to break me.And to every family going through immigration detention right now — I see your pain, and I pray your loved ones make it home safely too. 🤍

ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING.

What’s happening in parts of our immigration system right now deserves real attention—not assumptions, not politics, but truth.

There are people navigating situations most of us will never fully understand. Families being separated. Cases delayed. Decisions that can change someone’s entire life overnight. And while many speak from the outside, those actually going through it see a very different reality—one that is often overwhelming, confusing, and deeply emotional.

Here’s what needs to be said: every case is different.
Immigration is not one-size-fits-all. There are laws in place—real laws—meant to protect both U.S. citizens and immigrants. But when those laws aren’t followed properly, or when the system fails to act fairly, the consequences are not just legal… they are human.

Before judging someone’s situation, take a moment to learn, research, and understand.
Not having a 9-digit number does not erase someone’s humanity, their story, or their rights.

We can disagree. We can ask questions. But we should never lose compassion.

Please share. Awareness matters.

Many people don’t realize how complex—and at times deeply flawed—the American immigration system can be until they or someone they love goes through it.

U.S. immigration isn’t just about laws on paper; it’s a massive system involving agencies like Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and the federal courts. In theory, it’s supposed to follow strict rules and deadlines. In reality, delays are extremely common, responses from the government can be late or missing, and cases can be left pending for long periods without clear explanations.

One major issue is the lack of accountability. When individuals miss deadlines, there are immediate consequences. But when government agencies fail to respond on time or follow procedures, there often aren’t the same penalties. This imbalance can make the system feel unfair and one-sided.

There are also inconsistencies in how cases are handled. Two people with very similar situations can receive completely different outcomes depending on the court, the judge, or even the timing of their case. That unpredictability adds to the stress and confusion families already face.

This doesn’t mean every part of the system is corrupt—but it does highlight serious structural problems, including inefficiency, lack of transparency, and uneven enforcement of the rules.

Understanding this helps explain why so many people call for reform. At the end of the day, immigration isn’t just policy—it affects real people, real families, and real lives. A system built on fairness and due process should work consistently for everyone, not just in theory, but in practice.
