Yesterday was a day scripted right out of a Tyler Perry Production even up to the point of needing an old fashioned cry and huge hug from a loving family member. Whilst the latter would have been a great way to end my starring role in my own TP Production what happened was a million times better! After 30 + years of being a Coach and an Educator I got demoted to the promotion of Assistant Coach. Yes what an honor, privilege, and pleasure it was to get introduced as Assistant Coach A to the newest Head Coach A my twin, my baby girl, my rebel princess, my daughter Nadi Ameenah Y'all ... I got the chance to watch her debut as a coach fulfilling one of her long time dreams and goals of coaching club volleyball. After such a tumultuous day bobbing and weaving at what life was throwing at me .... It was overflowing joy in my heart to witness my rebel princess transform into Coach A. We gonna have to work out what her athletes call me but for now I am honored to be saying I am now known as Mom Coach A the assistant Coach to the "other" Coach A.
