Hi gang, I’m finally back with another vintage ski binding. This time a combination of the Tyrolia 570 diagonal, and the SFF FreeFlex. I know it’s been a while but one of these disassembles, measure, model jobs take about a month, so two in less than two months doesn’t feel so bad. Please let me know what you think. Next binding I’m starting to work on is one that is pretty rare and was only around for a couple of years in the early ‘70s the Allmat 8000 (I know it sounds like a sci-fi show).
Hi gang, I’m back with another vintage ski binding video Tyrolia 360D. I know it’s been a while, but summer car and house project do eat time that would otherwise be spent modeling in Fusion. I’m going to be staying in a Tyrolia state of mind for the next couple of vintage bindings, I finally found a set of 490s, and 590s to disassemble, measure and model. Let me know what you think, and I’m always open to suggestions for other binding to do.
Hi gang…I’m back with a “mulligan” (do over). If you’ve looked at my older vintage ski binding videos you know there is already a Tyrolia 350. Well, this is the update adding the 150 and 250. I tried to find a “50” (kids binding) but couldn’t. The 50 closely resembles the 150, maybe with lighter springs, but I wonder if the housings were scaled down. But without one to measure I just do not know. These bindings go back to the early 70’s predating ISO/DIN boot/binding standards so I’m not sure what the configuration of kid ski boots from then. So, if you have a 50 let me know and we could compare a couple of dimensions to see. Next one up is a Look 39 that same era as the Look 99RS. So, as you might be able to see, I’m looking at older videos and bringing in models deeper in the line. Under that heading still looking for an Allsop plastic, and a Burt II.
Hey everyone! I know it’s been a while since I put up a vintage ski binding video. Couple of excuses, I’ve been working hard on my automotive photography and Lightroom (samples upon request), and I’m really deep into a Tyrolia 350/250/150 history. But when I found this Tyrolia TRB (Tyrolia RANDONNEE Binding?) I had to grab it and model away. Never saw this one and I was selling Tyrolia bindings then, even went to the Vegas and Denver shows, but because of my bump and frontside addiction I bet I was just blind to it. How about any of you skied on it? Let me know what you think.
