Did you know that your laundry routine can contribute to acne? Here are three products that you should be cautious of and swaps that your skin will love!
1. Scented and dyed laundry soap is filled with irritants and pore clogging ingredients. Avoid dye and fragrance in any products and when it comes to laundry switch to any scent free dye free option!
2. Fabric softener is also a nightmare for acne prone skin! Swap it out for vinegar. It works great. This is why my facial towels are so soft!
3. Dryer sheets leave a waxy film on our clothes and that film is pore clogging. We have to pull these as well. A few drops of essential oils on wool balls is a great option.
This is just a quick run down of why these products are problematic for acne prone skin. Products like those listed above often contain hormone disruptors, can cause irritation to the skin and can even cause respiratory issues. I really do think that everyone should make the swaps suggested but if you have acne, or you have a teen with acne, it is going to be crucial!

Happy Veteran's Day and thank you to all that have served.
Both of my grandpas were veterans.
My Grandpa Art served in the Korean War. My Grandma Marie would tell me that the man who left and the man that came back were not the same. He lost his whole platoon, he was the only one that came back. Most people will tell you that he was a mean bitter old man and from where they were standing they would be right. To me though, that man was my best friend. We never shared a bad moment together our bond was so strong. I know to the world he was a grump but to me I saw a hero and I will always see him that way.
My Grandpa Robert was in the Navy. I feel like he was the real life most interesting man in the world. He sailed many seas and had so many adventures. I wish that I would have taken the time to ask him about those adventures and his time in the Navy. Although him and I had grown closer in recent years I do feel like he is the one grandparent that I maybe took a little for granted and misssed out on. Not on purpose, I just thought he would be around so much longer but he passed unexpectedly earlier this year. The problem with time, right?
Two very different vertans, both so special to me. I am really proud of both of my grandpas and love them with my whole heart. Cheers to them and to all who have served!
