In Leadership is an Art, Max Dupree shares ideas about leadership that have stood the test of time over the last 30 years. He writes that servant leadership is a posture of understanding that you are not above any of the tasks or responsibilities that your organization is faced with. May we each learn the way of leadership: defining reality and supporting the success of others. We know that "Art" is often messy, mistakes are made, and we have to return back to the canvas. The same is true of leadership. May we continue to seek out wisdom to help us do this well.

This week, we begin a 5-part series called "What we're reading." We will be covering some critical books and ideas that can help us lead with more wisdom and courage. Today, we're talking about one of the very best books of the last 100 years: Man's Search for Meaning. Viktor Frankl shares from his experience held as a prisoner in Auschwitz, and shares wisdom from his theory of logotherapy about finding meaning in our lives.

"Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather must recognize that it is he who is asked. In a word, each man is questioned by life; and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible."

Wrapping up the year with our final episode in the series on Power, focused on Powerful Purpose. Grateful for all of our listeners, and especially grateful for all of the people and teams out there making such an impact.
