Safeco Customers: As you may or may not have heard, Safeco will soon be changing their name to Liberty Mutual. Here is the back story - Safeco Insurance was acquired by Liberty Mutual Insurance in 2008 and retained the Safeco brand name for auto and property insurance. Beginning in May 2026, they will retire the Safeco brand and will be changing their name to Liberty Mutual moving forward.

Rest assured:
• We’re still here to serve you! Your independent agent will not change and can answer any questions you might have.
• Your current policy, coverages, discounts and benefits will remain the same. Future changes to premiums or coverages will follow the standard renewal process.
• You don’t need a new ID card now. You’ll receive a Liberty Mutual branded ID card when your policy renews.
• Future renewals and communications will show the Liberty Mutual name, and the billing and payment info will transfer automatically.
• RightTrack users: Keep using the Safeco app until you’re notified. You’ll get an in-app prompt when it’s time to switch; driving history, scores and Accident Assistance will transfer.
