Game Lab Retro Style

Ninjas explore computer science concepts as they create retro style games inspired by Pong, Space Invaders, and more using MakeCode Arcade, a block-based coding platform. They'll create, customize and playtest up to 7 or more games, all while learning about game mechanics, physics, and arrays. Ninjas can upload their projects to Meowbit handheld consoles and take them home. The camp combines hands-on activities and creative challenges, empowering Ninjas to personalize their games and showcase their skills in an arcade competition by the end of the week.

Coding Camps For Kids in - Livermore (Livermore) | Code Ninjas Code Ninjas offers an enriching coding experience for kids, fostering the development of valuable coding skills through a game-based curriculum. Join Us Today!

In AI Academy, Ninjas will explore Artificial Intelligence (AI) by utilizing and tinkering with a variety of tools, games, and resources. Throughout the 5 days of camp, Ninjas will teach AI using image and voice recognition through Google’s Teachable Machine that will allow them to control things in Scratch programs and on a micro:bit circuit board.

In Minecraft Modding Masters, Ninjas will learn how to create awesome mods for Minecraft Java Edition through the power of MCreator. Ninjas will create their own custom ore, blocks, ingot, crafting recipes, weapon, enchantment, armor, potions, custom biomes, custom mobs, and even nuclear TNT!

In 3D Studio Creators, Ninjas will learn the basics of 3D design (with an emphasis on 3D printing) using TinkerCad and Blender! Ninjas will learn what makes a design printable and how to manipulate shape to create complex models.

In Game Lab Retro-Style, Ninjas will learn computer science and coding concepts all while creating their own games inspired by the classics such as Pong or Space Invaders! Ninjas will use MakeCode Arcade to put these concepts to life through their own games!
