UCSD Franklin Antonio Hall was recently recognized by the American Institute of Architecture for the best contemporary architecture regardless of budget, size, style, or type.

"One of the most prominent features of the building exterior is the perforated aluminum fin array that shields the building from the Southern California sun and glare."

The aluminum fins were a challenging design element, at the time, they were the largest fins our team had worked with. Additionally, the design had the fins at varying angles to accommodate solar orientation and preserve views for each elevation requiring careful planning, staging and installation.
