Sometimes showing up for family photos is an act of pure defiant joy. It’s a way to say “not today satan” in the midst of a really hard season. I’m grateful for the families who chose to show up, who lean into God and each other, and let me document it. It’s such an honor to remind them of the beauty. Because it’s there, and the light shines brightest when fight for it. ✨

We had to postpone this session twice due to sickness and weather, and I was pretty bummed about it. That is until Thursday evening was the most beautiful weather we’ve had in a while! 😍 I’ve been photographing the Secor family since Maverick was hanging out in his mommy’s tummy and it’s a blast every time! I have LOVED being able to document these boys grow! ❤️

I swore I wasn’t going to edit on Sunday and then I opened the Siemasz family gallery and couldn’t resist! 😍

I pulled up to our original planned location to see a sign saying car entrance was closed! 😬 Luckily, we were able to pivot quickly (thanks Abby!) and made magic somewhere else! 😍👌🏼

We had some fun exploring, book and stick colllecting, oh and with a few stops for some photos. ☺️
