A lot of our neighboring communities have had car and garage burglaries over the last few nights. Please make sure your cars and garages are locked up overnight. Don’t leave any valuables in your car especially in plain sight. Please be vigilant for anything or anyone out of the ordinary. Contact us with anything suspicious. Remember our Officers are not typically sitting in the office by the phone, so please call Sangamon county dispatch to reach our Police Officers or the Sheriffs office the quickest way possible. The Loami Police Department needs your help. There are reports of two stolen vehicles and several vehicle break-ins last night. If you live in the area and have surveillance camera footage from last night, especially between the hours of 12-1 a.m., that shows any suspicious activity, please get in touch with the department.
