Our famous Sponge Candy Ice Cream is returning to Lake Effect Ice Cream this Sunday!

Starting Sunday, you can grab a scoop at BOTH of our shops while supplies last. Rich, creamy ice cream loaded with crunchy sponge candy pieces a true Western New York favorite. If you can’t get into one of our shops, pints of sponge candy will also be available on DoorDash!

If you’ve been waiting for its return, now’s your chance. Stop in and treat yourself!

This Mother’s Day, at Lake Effect, we want to do something a little special for all the amazing moms out there.

Every mom who stops by on Mother’s Day will receive a small gift bag that includes a stone heart charm and a Lake Effect sticker.

We keep eight cakes stocked at both locations whenever possible:

CHOCOLATE DREAM
Dark chocolate brownie and chocolate ice cream layers, filled with chocolate crunch, topped with chocolate crunch and flake chocolate.

COOKIE DOUGH
Cookie dough and chocolate ice cream layers, filled with chocolate crunch, topped with a chocolate chip cookie and mini chocolate chips.

RASPBERRY CHEESECAKE
Raspberry cheesecake and vanilla ice cream layers, filled with vanilla crunch, topped with raspberry candies and raspberry infused frosting.

EL GUAPO (The Handsome One)
Two layers of silver cloud vanilla ice cream filled with cinnamon crumbs, honey, and cinnamon chocolate, topped with cinnamon crumbs, honey, and cinnamon chocolate.

PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE
Peanut butter epiphany and chocolate ice cream layers, filled with chocolate crunch and crushed Reese’s, topped with Reese’s cups and peanut butter frosting.

SALTY CARAMEL CHOCOLATE
Salty caramel and chocolate ice cream layers, filled with chocolate crunch and mini salty caramel truffles, finished with a caramel drizzle.

OREO
Extra cookies, extra cream and vanilla ice cream layers, filled with chocolate crunch and topped with mini Oreo cookies.
