I wish they lasted longer than just a couple of weeks. But maybe their magic comes from how fleeting they are. For a short moment each year, an ordinary orchard transforms into something almost otherworldly… inviting us in… and then disappearing again ✨🌸

Thank you for all the sweet texts and messages. I haven’t been able to get back to anyone, but I’m very grateful for all the love and support.
I came down with the flu and have spent the last three days pretty much sleeping. I have not been this sick in a long time. While I was sad at first, that we had to cancel all our plans, the fact that our Christmas could have looked a LOT different, put things right back into perspective.
I get to sleep on the couch, in a cocoon of blankets and pillows, with a steady fire going at all times. Doggies and a little kitty curled up by my side, magical Christmas tree glow and Ed right there, every time I open my eyes. Right next to me. Smiling. Strong. Healthy. Together.
That’s all the Christmas I need and I am so so endlessly thankful.
