The annual celebration for Martin Luther King Day in Lompoc, CA, celebrating the diversity and achievements in the local community.
Join us to celebrate the life and legacy of the civil rights pioneer with two free events on Monday, January 20, 2025 in Lompoc, CA. First, a march will start at 9:15 am on the steps of Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, located at 201 S. H St. in Lompoc, CA. The march route will go to the Dick DeWees Center, and it is one mile in length. Groups and organizations are welcome to join the march. Second, the Celebration will take place following the march, at apx 11:00 am at the Dick DeWees Center, located at 1120 W. Ocean Ave, Lompoc, CA 93436. Both events are free and open to the public. This years theme is “Voices of Today, Heroes of Yesterday, Dreams of Tomorrow.”

This years theme will be “Honoring Dr. King: His life, His Legacy, His Dream.” The committee
will also host a “Peace and Unity in the Community” March leading up to the event.
The march will start at 9:00 am on the steps of Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, lo

apx 11:00 am at the Dick DeWees Center, locatedat 1120 W. Ocean Ave, Lompoc, CA 93436. Bothevents are free and open to the public. “We plan to march and come together as a community in MLK’s honor. There is still work to be done to make our community a better place for everyone and this is the perfect time for that reminder,” shares Pastor Ron Wiley.
