A Day in the Life with tribe member Kelsey Klasko. 🤍

Almost 6 months ago, Seth, Kelsey’s beloved husband and father to their beautiful daughter, Charlotte, gained his angel wings. 🪽

🩸 Last Thursday, Kelsey decided to start her weekend by giving platelets because she knows how much they’re needed in the oncology space.

🎣 Next, she picked up a second round of coveted Seth Klasko memorial hats that are being circulated to raise funds for those newly diagnosed. These hats are MADE for the outdoors.

⛺️ Then, Kelsey sorted through the families’ camping gear, preparing for their annual camping trip next week. They will be joined by beloved family and friends of Seth, at the spot they’ve always loved.

Kelsey and Charlotte are hanging in as best they can — but getting ready to camp has been especially tough since she and Seth shared in their own roles for prep. Kelsey and Charlotte know he should still be here to be able to enjoy his favorite moments — fishing and sleeping under the stars with his girls. 💫

We know Seth will be with his ladies, always, and Small Choices will be there for them, too. Tribe members like Kelsey, Charlotte, and Seth are the reason why we do what we do.

April, 2019, I made the decision to use my many years of experience as an oncology nurse and time spent in the non profit realm to create my own foundation while continuing to work as a bmt/onc nurse.

Just a few months in, I met Scarlett, just diagnosed with AML in a new city.

Grateful for the newly acquired ability to offer her some relief outside of my nursing role, we formed a unique bond. One where we were both navigating new spaces.

Seven years and many experiences, both shared and unique, later, I am thrilled to announce that Scarlett has agreed to dedicate herself as our Director of Operations.

The first time I’ve ever officially had someone to rely on for the day to day workings of the foundation.

With her own non profit experience and personal knowledge of the cancer journey, I am so very excited about where we, alongside our overwhelmingly dedicated board members, can take the foundation.

Because there is always more you can do to help.
