15 days of Marlowe & 14 days of the NICU.

She’s truly my angel baby.

I thought the 9 months of pregnancy was going to be the teacher — but it wasn’t like this. I thought birth was going to be the portal — but it wasn’t like this.

It’s been having Marlowe in the world; but not in my arms that’s been my greatest gateway.

Into who I am as a mother, as to who I become on the other side of this. A somehow softer than ever, but also sharp than ever version of me.

A co-existence I wouldn’t have thought was possible before her.

And I can’t wait to simply be with her and continue to process this. To see who we all get to become, on the other side of this, together.

Until then, holding my tiny little 5 lb 5 oz baby. Breathing her in every second I have her. Kissing all my strength into her little temples. And fighting through every ache in my chest until she is finally, permanently, in my arms.

Celebrating Marlowe one week ago was so special 🤎

When we conceived her, we knew the timing wasn’t perfect — but the community around us was. This day really reminded us of that truth.

From all the family we have present, to longtime friends who’ve supported our pursuit of an aligned life, to all the customers who’ve become friends this past year — we’re truly rich in people.

And that’s the best kind of rich to be when bringing a baby into the world.

Having our village through this pregnancy has meant everything, and I can’t wait to share her with all of you more when she’s here (in about 80 days — eek)!

Special shoutout to my sister for meticulously bringing this shower to life, and to all of Marlowe’s aunties who helped make it happen 🫶

One thing for sure is we feel so loved, supported, & ready to bring her into the world with y’all (pictured & not, near & far) by our side.
