Posting dogs in Southern California shelters to help get them back home or into new homes!
06/02/2026
These dogs are available through the Riverside Animal Shelter. All of these dogs (and many more) either need to get back home, rescued, fostering, or new permanent loving homes.
🆘 The dogs with red ID numbers are at risk and are urgent ‼️
You can view all available pets on the shelter's website. Each dog's shelter ID number is on their photo.

Unfortunately, a large number of seniors end up dying in shelters because no one is interested in adopting them. They are often the last chosen to be adopted, and the first to be euthanized at shelters. Seniors deserve to be loved and a warm home to live out their golden years, not to die alone in a cold shelter.

* Their owners got a puppy and decided they did not want the “old” dog anymore.
* Their owners were moving and chose not to take them.
* Their owners passed away and family would not or could not take them in.
