As an outreach arm of the University's Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, the center connects the public with coastal and marine science through academic programs, guided tours of coastal habitats, and more.

Congratulations to the Southern Miss Gulf Blue Navigator program on receiving the Rising Tide Award from the Gulf Coast Business Council!

This award recognizes organizations that are advancing economic growth and innovation along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Since its launch, the Gulf Blue Navigator program has contributed an estimated $17 million in potential economic impact, helping bluetech startup companies access partnerships with the University, industry leaders, and state and federal agencies. In doing so, the program positions Coastal Mississippi as a hub for research, technology, and economic growth.
