A big thanks to California’s SB 129 (School Meals for All), which provides approximately 6% of a student's lunch. There's still a lot more work to be done! For school year 2021-22, the USDA has granted the waiver to serve students free of charge as a transition out of the pandemic. Hopefully more changes will be made in the next year to support feeding children on the federal level.
