As many who pay attention have long warned, what happens in Gaza will not stay in Gaza. Fueled by indifference, impunity, and imperialism, the horror has already spread to the West Bank, Iran, and Lebanon. The military infrastructure, bolstered by positively dystopian surveillance and AI technology, long ago planted its darkling seeds in our domestic police, Homeland Security, and ICE forces. This past week, civilian sites in select California cities served as testing grounds for "training exercises" for the US Military. Because we did not put a stop to it in the Middle East, the genocidal war in Gaza will be coming home to roost in short order. And if you are still thinking, "It can't happen here," you'd best start thinking again. And fast.
