Event is scheduled Nov. 4 both in-person and virtually with Long Beach Collective Association
Long Beach City College (LBCC) is partnering with the Long Beach Collective Association (LBCA) to present a first-of-its-kind Cannabis Symposium. The Nov. 4 event is designed to help other higher educational institutions and cannabis businesses learn to effectively partner on cannabis programs, as well as gain an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that the partnership entails.

Welcome to the LBCA
The Long Beach Collective Association (The LBCA) is a nonprofit trade association comprised of cannabis businesses in Long Beach, including dispensaries, cultivation, labs, manufacturing, and distribution. After the 2012 city-wide cannabis ban, the LBCA lead the fight to bring regulation back to the city of Long Beach. We currently work with the Long Beach Health Department on public health and cannabis education.
The Long Beach Collective Association’s mission is to provide safe and legal cannabis access for residents under California State Law and Long Beach Municipal Code. The LBCA offers assistance and guidance to its members to navigate and succeed in the cannabis industry.
The LBCA Works closely with the city, Long Beach health department and various community organizations to ensure public safety, cannabis education, and non-invasive environment for residents. The LBCA offers assistance and guidance to its members to navigate and succeed in the cannabis industry.
LBCA gathered more than 100,000 signatures to include ballot measure MM on the 2016 ballot, which passed with 60% of Long Beach resident votes. The LBCA works closely with the city on regulation and with the health department’s Cannabis Education Program. On the state and national level, the LBCA is active in Sacramento and DC
