Hey Long Beach! Do you know where to put used condiment packets?
Share your best guess—trash (gray), organics (green), or recycling (soon-to-be blue)—in the comments below. We’ll post the answer at the end of the day!
Did you know that most take-away restaurants let you say no to things like extra napkins, utensils, and condiments? Look for the option when checking out!
Not sure? Visit longbeach.gov/LBRecycles any time to review sorting guidelines for each stream!

We love the new blue recycling carts and that recycling guidelines stayed the same.
Making sure your recyclables are empty, clean and dry helps keep your blue recycling cart in top condition. Did you know “empty, clean and dry” means as empty, clean and dry as possible without washing? Think, “spatula” clean.
Follow the same simple recycling guidelines and skip the bag; put recyclables in the cart loose.
