County and city officials secretly don’t want us to recycle batteries. “We can’t afford to do the right thing”-county officials in charge of household hazardous waste programs. Well I call BS. This battery is one of millions thrown away every year in SoCal. Some end up in the trash, our streets, beaches and if we’re lucky, the HHW drop off sites. We need to do better and we do that by increasing convenience and incentivizing the process.

Join The Fight | LBEA All you need to qualify is free time and passion. All skills are welcome but some college or community organizing experience is preferred. 

Had the opportunity to speak to a group of students who are on a social entrepreneurship track discussing how business is evolving to be able to not only turn a profit, but creat an impact and encourage acts of social good. I asked each student if money wasn’t a factor, what would you pursue in your life. Helping the homeless, assisting veterans, helping the environment and removing poverty were ideas that came up. Beyond grateful to have had this opportunity and I am confident that the next generation will do even better than we have🙏🏻
