It's Deacon Day, y'all! Nine years ago today, Jay was officially welcomed into AHTCK. He was supposed to be a temp. He's still here. We've stopped asking questions.

Year nine has been a landmark year for Deacon. After quietly selling off 26 of his beloved B-52 amps (don't worry, he's still got 50 more for some reason) Jay scraped together enough for a down payment on a Kemper. To cover the rest, he picked up a side hustle as one of those silver robot street performer guys on Hollywood Boulevard. Funding his tone one tourist dollar at a time.

Between busking in body paint and liquidating gear on Facebook Marketplace, Jay somehow still found time to fill in for approximately every band in the southwestern US. At this point we're not sure if Jay is our guitarist who plays with other bands, or everyone else's guitarist who plays with us. We choose not to investigate.

Nine years in and Deacon is still the AHTCK Historian. He still knows every setlist, every venue, every on-stage injury. He still writes the most devastating riffs any of us have ever heard - and still fumbles intros sometimes!

Jay isn't just a guitarist. He's family. Weird, quiet, chrome-painted, amp-hoarding family.
