Today, we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, the families we cherish, and the loyal dogs who make our lives better every day.

As we mark 250 years of American independence, we also want to remind everyone that while fireworks are exciting for us, they can be overwhelming for many dogs. If you're celebrating tonight, help your pups stay safe and comfortable by providing a secure environment, plenty of reassurance, and a quiet place to relax.

Today, we say goodbye to a very special member of The Middle Paw family.

GJ was more than Kristi’s beloved companion - he was a gentle giant, a steady presence, and a quiet teacher to so many dogs who came through our doors. Over the years, he helped countless dogs build confidence, learn social skills, and discover that the world could be a safe and friendly place.

As a Neapolitan Mastiff, GJ’s size was impressive, but it was his kindness, patience, and calm spirit that everyone remembered most. Whether he was assisting during training sessions or simply being by Kristi’s side, he had a remarkable way of making both dogs and people feel at ease.

While our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for every moment, every lesson, and every life he touched.

Thank you, GJ, for your years of service, your gentle soul, and the love you shared so freely. Your paw prints will remain on our hearts and in the lives of the many dogs you helped.

You will be deeply missed and forever remembered. ❤️🐾
