Care shouldnโ€™t feel rushed or transactional.

Integrated care is an opportunity and an imperative 07/09/2026

Your body doesn't separate physical health from mental health. Why should your healthcare?

Stress can show up as high blood pressure. Anxiety can affect sleep. Depression can make chronic conditions harder to manage.

Yet our healthcare system has traditionally treated physical and mental health as separate conversations.

The American Psychological Association recently highlighted why integrated care is becoming increasingly important: when healthcare providers work together and primary care takes a whole-person approach, patients experience better outcomes.

At KerixHealth, we believe that excellent primary care begins with listening. Longer appointments and a continuous relationship with your physician allow for comprehensive discussions about your health, not just the specific symptom that prompted your visit today.

Healthcare is more effective when we consider the whole person. The APA article is definitely worth reading. ๐Ÿ‘‡

Integrated care is an opportunity and an imperative As health care moves toward whole-person treatment, psychologists thrive as team members.

Wellness Starts Here: A Community Conversation About Health What if your healthcare experience felt more personal, proactive, and focused on helping you stay wellโ€”not just treating illness?

"Is there a code for healthy?"

That question was raised during a recent Unleashed podcast episode, where KerixHealth Chief Medical Officer Dr. Clint Flanagan, MD, joined Dr. Elisabeth Wilson to discuss the future of primary care.

It stuck with us.

Because so much of what shapes our health doesn't happen in an exam room.

-It's getting enough sleep.
-Managing stress.
-Finding time to move your body.

Checking in before a small concern becomes a bigger one.

The challenge is that those conversations take time, and time is often the one thing missing from healthcare.

Throughout the episode, Dr. Flanagan and Dr. Wilson explore what becomes possible when primary care has more of it.

-More time to listen.
-More time to ask questions.
-More time to focus on staying healthy, not just treating illness.

And more time for physicians to practice medicine in a way that reconnects them with why they chose it in the first place.

When doctors have the time to care for people the way they were trained to, everyone benefits.

What's one thing you wish primary care did more of today?

06/17/2026

The average doctor has 2,500 patients. Thirteen minutes per visit. A waitlist that stretches weeks.

Nobody designed primary care to be rushed, impersonal, and hard to access. It just got that way.

We started KerixHealth because every patient deserves a doctor who genuinely has time for them. That relationship is worth protecting.

Dr. Clint Flanagan, MD, has been doing this for sixteen years. The impact it's had on patients, employers, and our own team is what keeps us going. Hear it from him directly.

They want to feel heard.

They want appointments when they need them.

They want a doctor who takes the time to listen.

And they want peace of mind knowing care is there when life happens.

At KerixHealth, that's exactly what we're working to deliver every day.

We're grateful for the trust our members place in us and proud to support families with personalized, accessible primary care.

Thank you to everyone who has shared their experience with us.

Sun Prairie, we're officially here. ๐ŸŽ‰

Mayor Steve Stocker and the Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce came out to welcome us, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to open our doors.

We know life gets busy. And when something comes up, the last thing you need is to wait three weeks just to get in front of a doctor.

Same-day or next-day appointments, longer visits, a doctor who truly knows you, and one simple monthly membership with no copays and no surprises.

This is Direct Primary Care. And it's now right here in Sun Prairie.

That's not a headline from a fitness blog โ€” that's a physician describing her own experience with one of medicine's most widely used tools.

BMI can't tell the difference between muscle and fat. It never could. But it still determines whether your insurance will cover weight loss medications like Ozempic or Wegovy.

A BMI of 30 or higher qualifies. So does a BMI of 27 if you have a condition like high blood pressure or high cholesterol.

One number. Big consequences. Worth understanding.

Did you know that one bad night of sleep can make you hungrier the next day?
It's not a willpower problem. It's your hormones.

Poor sleep disrupts the signals your body uses to control hunger โ€” so you wake up already fighting cravings your body created overnight. And if you have untreated sleep apnea, losing weight becomes even harder. The two feed each other in a cycle that's hard to break on your own.

At Kerix Health, we look at the full picture โ€” sleep, stress, hormones, and metabolism โ€” because weight health is never just one thing.

If you've been struggling with your weight and can't figure out why, it might be time to have a real conversation about it.

We have clinics across the country. Find yours at kerixhealth.com
