HeadsinHelmets are busy this morning here in Longview. This is our 4th year here at New Beginnings Faith Ministry contributing to their community outreach program.

With school starting up, a lot of kids might be riding to school on their bikes. Please be alert and watch for cyclists during morning and afternoon drop off times.

So, after sweating in the July heat, then drowning after an unexpected thunderstorm, we have finally tallied helmets distributed at the Great Texas Balloon Race. The number was 412 helmets properly fitted-including our 7000th, which went to Nicholas Lopez of Tyler, Texas. Almost 1,000 people registered for our bike giveaway. Today, we are pleased to announce that Auron Copeland, age 11, of Carthage, was awarded one of the bikes. He is pictured, along with his family, Justin Parker, Jennifer Parker and Aurora Parker. Thank you Woolley G's Bike and Fitness for your help in securing the bikes for us.
