We asked Team Ctrl+Peace to describe their experiences in MIL in 3 words. Here's what they came up with.

Fact-Checking Rate: Fake/Proven. The rumors spread about Brigitte Macron were completely fake and unproven. They claimed that she is a transgender woman without any good evidence. This not only harmed her reputation and made her a target for cyberbullying from the internet. It, also, caused her husband, Emmanuel Macron, to suffer from these rumors.
Cyberbullying is like a bomb. When it happens, it could not only harm the person you are targeting, but also their friends and family. This could happen emotionally or mentally.

Fact-Checking Rate: FALSE/NEEDS CONTEXT. Tupas filed a case against Walden Bello because of accusations of cyberlibel based on a post by Walden Bello accusing Tupas of being involved in illegal drugs. This is false as these claims were not a malicious attempt to harm Tupas' reputation. It was just done to further Bello’s goals as an activist with a "leftist progressive voice" that highlighted progressive and social justice issues.
This shows that we must always be careful of what we post on social media. As even if we do not mean to harm others, we may do so unintentionally like Bello.

Fact-Checking Rate: MISLEADING. Yes, it's true that cyberbullying is done through the internet, so you can't get physically hurt. BUT this post tries to twist that fact in a way to conclude that the concept of getting hurt from cyberbullying is dumb as they say it seemingly has no lasting effects ("Nowhere NEAR as bad as getting hit, punched, abused, ect.")
Research and basic human decency says NO. We as a society need to realize that mental health is just as important physical health. Any form of pain that one brings upon another should be stopped and advocated against, not made senseless articles about.
