We wanted to remind all of you that you should not assign your benefits (AOB) to any roofing contractor, or any type contractor, should you experience any structural damage to your home. Many homeowners throughout the country have become victims of contractor fraud and have had to deal with contractors who take the insurance payout and then disappear without performing the work. Please do not be fooled by their sales pitch. You don't need or want a contractor dealing with your insurance company on your behalf. Signing over your benefits literally excludes you from direct dealings with the insurance company and grants the contractor permission to make decisions without you. As your agent, we will deal directly with the insurance company and inform you of the process every step of the way. Please stay safe.

Giving the option for small employers to allow employees to go on the Exchange known as Obamacare or The Affordable Health Care does not solve the fact that health insurance continues to be unaffordable for those who do not qualify for a subsidy, and most policies have high out of pocket expenses. A family of four without subsidy will be paying over $1K per month on the Exchange.

There are other options for small employers and individuals. Short term medical plans will be extended in the coming months to one year plans. These plans are more affordable.
