A sense of justice thanks to DNA for Keith, Jennifer, Jesse, and Sophia Caneiro.

In 2018, the lives of the Caneiro family were stolen in a devasting act of violence. This week, the person responsible was sentenced to four consecutive life terms, bringing a measure of accountability after years of legal proceedings.

Bode Technology was honored to support investigators by performing extensive DNA testing on crime scene evidence, ultimately helping link one of the victims’ DNA to items recovered from the suspect’s home.

We are grateful to collaborate with law enforcement and forensic professionals working tirelessly to seek answers and pursue justice on behalf of victims. We hope the suspect's sentencing brings some relief to those who loved Keith, Jennifer, Jesse and Sophia.

Today, we’re honored to stand alongside the Kaylee Goncalves Foundation, doing business as Murder Has a Name (MHAN), in a shared commitment to helping law enforcement solve unsolved homicide cases.

Founded in honor of Kaylee Goncalves, MHAN is working to ensure more agencies have access to the forensic DNA testing needed to generate leads and bring answers to families. Through this partnership, Bode Technology will support MHAN-referred cases with discounted DNA analysis, along with one pro bono case each year.

This work is rooted in strength, purpose, and a belief that every case deserves the opportunity for answers.
