Every year, over 15 million tons of plastic end up in our oceans. By 2025, we might find as much plastic as fish in the sea. A big part of the problem? Plastic straws. Used once but lasting for hundreds of years.

Millions of plastic straws are used every day in the U.S. They can’t be recycled, so they fill our landfills, pollute our streets, and hurt our wildlife. Even tiny pieces of these straws called microplastics can be ingested by animals and people, possibly causing health problems.
