Sijan ❤️ (12/09/2020-03/19/2026)

There was before you and there was during you. For some reason, I never thought there would be an after you.

I still haven’t accepted that you’re not here. I’m expecting to wake up and you’re back, normal and healthy again. It’s like living in a constant nightmare.

In the last few days it was like someone else was wearing his body, but behind his eyes it wasn’t him anymore. He was suffering and nothing was helping him. He had a brain tumor that was causing him so much pain and distress. My vet team and I had to make the hardest decision to let him go as peacefully as possible.

I hope where you are there’s frisbees for you, a lake to swim in, your very own jolly ball & cats to snuggle

I want to write about all the incredible adventures we went on, all the things we did, but every time I try it brings me back to reality of you being gone forever. You were the best dog I could’ve ever asked for, my first puppy, my heart, my soul, my everything.

I love you so much, we should’ve had so much more time together Si 💔

You may be wondering who the adorable new face is! This is “Billy Bob” from the euthanasia list for “aggression” at Devore Animal Shelter in California. You may have seen his scared pictures shared all around Facebook a few days ago.
His new name Is GOMEZ ADDAMS 🖤🩶🖤

He is decompressing and getting much needed medical care and TLC. He came to me skinny, matted, infested with fleas, intestinal worms, limping, broken teeth, not vaccinated and still intact…

Thank you for waking up at the crack of dawn to drive 2 hrs go save him with only a few hours notice (sorry lol). We drove there without knowing if he was still alive as that shelter is known for euthanizing without giving people a chance to save them. Thank you to .pepper.club for opening your home for him to get a much needed bath and some decompression time inside a home while we’re still traveling. I know he felt so much better after 🩷

I’m grateful to Paws for Duty Lodging LLC for helping me pull him and transferring him into my care. He is now fully under my responsibility, and I am personally covering 100% of his medical and care expenses. Any donations are deeply appreciated and will go directly toward his needs.

If you’d like to donate to his care including vaccines (we were able to get these done a couple days ago), neuter, ongoing flea/tick treatment (he’s infested with fleas, started preventative), medicated baths, deworming, heartworm test (and potential treatment will update with results), temporary behavioral meds in order to safely receive vet care, etc
