Tierra Bomba is a Colombian made yet diverse community in its Latin roots. Its name, which is inspired by a small island off the coast of Cartagena, has gathered a global community that’s been making waves since 2017. We are excited to have them gather forces and feel their motivation to push forward the project of our Kogi Elders from the Sierra Nevada to buy back their ancestral lands.

Planet Buyback has partnered with PAUA .life to help the Kogi people safeguard and buy back their ancestral lands. Honoring the Kogi Tribes of La Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia's sacred landscapes, the Kogi people have preserved their ancestral lands for centuries.

Today, they face the loss of their heritage due to encroachment and exploitation.

On Feb 8th, 2023, Planet Buyback hosted its first event in Mexico City in support of its latest project: A Regeneration Center for the sacred land of Wirikuta in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The event featured a special live concert by musical maestro Eduardo Castillo who also shared his insights on the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability.

Through the generosity of Planet Buyback's donors and supporters, the Org was able to raise funds to fully fund this cause and contribute towards a healthier and more promising future for our planet.

We are proud to announce that our Bee Rescue & Preservation project has been fully funded! ✨💥✨

A massive THANK YOU to all those who added to this collective effort and felt the call to help save the bees and our ecosystems by helping us raise $13,083 USD 🙏🏽

These resources are going straight to the construction of our first 🐝 Bee Sanctuary🐝, restructuring and adapting a land owned by the Sedema (Secretary of the Environment in Mexico) to efficiently house bees and safeguard their development, placed in close proximity to urban farms or community food gardens where they’ll help increase crop yield and support local food systems.

will also be organizing and implementing continuous training sessions with local firefighters on the best practices and protocols for proper Bee Rescue missions and basic information on Bee Preservation and their vital role in nature.
