WE ARE RISE INC

This past Saturday, we hosted our Mindfulness in May event in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month.
 
In partnership with and .still.move , and sponsored in part by ARDI, we created a healing-centered space for our mentees and their families to pause, breathe, and reconnect.
 
More than an event, it was an opportunity for families to feel seen, understood, and supported in how stress, trauma, and everyday pressures show up in the body and in our relationships. It opened space for honest reflection, emotional release, and learning new ways to care for ourselves and one another.
 
We are grateful to every mentee, caregiver, and partner who joined us in choosing healing, presence, and restoration.
 

This past Saturday, we celebrated R.I.S.E. Girls Day: Rooted Together, Rising Together 💜 in honor of six years of incorporation, bringing together mentees from across our partner school sites.

The afternoon was grounded in connection, reflection, and community as mentees came together to build relationships and create meaningful quilts representing their identities, stories, and symbols.
Each piece stood beautifully on its own, yet together they formed a collective expression of who we are as a village.

Watching the girls connect reminded us that they are never on this journey alone, they belong.

What began as a simple afternoon of activities grew into powerful moments of unity, where barriers softened and new bonds formed across schools.

They left with more than memories; they left with a deeper sense of belonging, connection, and community within the R.I.S.E. village. 💫
