Despite its recent pullback, and despite being incredibly overvalued, Apple (AAPL) stock is still in a huge, long-term uptrend. I’m a long-term investor focused on dividends and income, so I typically don’t try to time the market like a shorter-term trader would. Still, I can’t help but notice Apple shares bouncing off their 50-day MA (Moving Average) — a well-defined level that once served as resistance (left circle) but has since become support (right two circles). If you’re trying to time Apple for a shorter-term trade (I sell calls and puts for income), now could be a good time to get in. On technicals and momentum alone, I’d bet the stock is headed higher from here: trade accordingly. — Greg Patrick
