I look at training (and the results) much like a locomotive train. It takes a lot of effort, energy, and time to get some momentum going. But, once you’ve got a solid baseline and routine in place, pay attention to your meals (consistency, balance, timing), and at the very least - challenging yourself in the gym at least 2-3x a week, it feels an easy task to manage.
I’ve been doing this since I was 15/16 years old. Some periods are more intense than others. It’s been almost 12 years since I ‘gave it my all’ by stepping on stage to compete. The competition now for me is against life and time. Maintain this baseline with the work and energy I put in to keep the momentum going for the next 20+ years.
No matter what stage if you’re at, what age you are, you can get life-changing, life-prolonging results. Keep your head down.. focus.. and keep pushing.
