As we celebrate the 250th birthday of our great nation, we want to wish everybody a Happy Fourth of July! May we take this moment to celebrate our strengths while embracing the work ahead that we must do as a community to insure no family goes without food on their table.

School's out for Summer! But here at LCS, we want to help our students be ready for the upcoming school year by hosting a school supply drive! Your donation of school supplies will be distributed at our upcoming August 19th food distribution at IATSE Local 80 in Burbank. You can participate by: 1) Dropping off school supplies at the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO; 2) If you're a labor union, you can bring the school supplies to the next House of Labor meeting in August. We hope that you can help us give our kids a good academic start this Fall!
Thankful to be able to work with Mayor Karen Bass, Councilmember Ysabel Jurado, Assemblymember Mark Gonzalez and Assemblymember Jessica Caloza to assist families affected by the with food boxes and N95 masks. Our communities on the Eastside need us all and we’re here to help.
