💜 One of our most recent Age-In-Place projects! 💜

We worked with the homeowners to create a comfortable and safe space where their 97-year-old mother with dementia could live and maintain privacy, while still allowing them the ability to keep a loving eye on her from the main home.

We included:

☁️ Soft underlayment flooring to create a more forgiving floor in case of slips or falls
🚿 Curb-less shower to avoid trip hazard getting in/out of shower
🚽 Taller toilet installment for ease of getting up/down
💪 Handrails for extra support
➡️ Sliding doors for ease of entry/exit from the bathroom
♨️ Electric stovetop to avoid any gas hazard
🗄️ Cabinets with soft closure hardware to reduce effort for opening/closing
☀️ Skylights to maximize natural light
💗 Intentional window placement to allow good sight-lines in non-private areas to be able to check in from the main home
